The monument of the Venetian castle of Parga (built on 1707 By Venetians) and (Panagia island with special celebrations on 15 August) you can visit easily. Everything in Parga is withing walking distances. Parga offer a very good service ,good Food(Greek and International),several excursions , (Like Paxos and Antipaxos islands ,Famous Meteora trip- The Mythic trip to Acheron River and with activities ,A Day trip to Ionian islands(Lefkas-Kefalonia-Ithaca) and even a day trip to Corfu island).Around Parga there are beautiful villages you can visit and also for those they like to walk there are several walking paths. Yes, Parga is suitable for families and also with small or teenage children ,as is a very good destination for families and easy to go everywhere and also on several beaches on feet or by the local Taxi Boats.
Yes, Parga is a very safe destination and summer place for Holidays for families with small and grown-up children and all children can walk alone on the promenade and to go come out and go back in the accommodation .You see nearly Police in Parga as the society of Parga and persons of the shops ,restaurants e.c.t are the most of them locals and this is a kind of protection .We are the society and everyone knows the other and there is a communication of the local persons in case we see something strange. This is the best protection.
Criminality in Parga, there is Not, especially in Summer as local persons are out and all local society controls (if we see something wrong). As we like local society, we protect our guests and hardly you will see the police on streets during the night. We are locals and we take care of our guests, and you feel very safe in Parga.

Yes, August is busier than the other months. But if you are forced to come in August and have your Holidays in August(Like a lot of people and Families), then…..you cannot avoid the Busy August .August is the Peak of the season and families and people they do not work in August come this time of the year. Do Not forget the special celebration of Panagia on 15 of August ,is something you cannot miss!
In May temperature is around 24-27 C ,In June around 28-32 C ,In July 33-38 C ,In August 37-40 C and in September around 30-33 C and in October is around 27-30 C.
Yes, you can swim even in April in Parga and of course in May and in October and also in November as water temperatures is like +16-19 C.
