THE FAMOUS METEORA TRIP : ONLY PRIVATE  WITH MINIBUS FOR SMALL GROUPS OF PERSONS . Departure from Parga. After crossing the beautiful mountain range of Pindos, we reach our destination Meteora. Six of the monasteries remain as are today. 4 of them were inhabited by men and 2 by women. We visit two Monasteries the Grand Meteora and the Varlaam or San Stefanos. After finishing our visits to the monasteries we depart and go to the beautiful, picturesque and famous Metsovo, where we stay for approximately 2 hours for lunch, shopping, visiting the wine museum and free time. Metsovo is a mountainous town at Ioannina at an altitude of 1.160 meters. The town is famous for its local cheeses (Metsovone and Metsovela) and its wine making industries. In Metsovo you can visit the Folklore Museum and the Averof Art Gallery operating since 1988, which presents 250 tables of important painters of the 19^th and 20^th century. Our Departure from Metsovo is late in the afternoon and our arrival in Parga will be approximately at 19:00. The timetable is indicative and there may be deviation 30 minutes (not in departure time). The visit inside the Meteora monasteries is with a professional local guide. The entrances to the monasteries are not included in the price. The Meteora entrance is approximately 4-5 euros per person. In case there is a small group of persons we can arrange your private visit to Meteora and Metsovo with Minivans of 8 or 19 persons.
